I Am An MP4 Athlete Hear Me RAWR

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Let the title of this post be a warning to you…I’m feeling a bit feisty! As you will see, I am rather passionate about a few things when it comes to fitness and nutrition. Listen closely, here are…

4 Things Every Female Athlete Should Know…

1. You are stronger than you think you are. Pink is my favorite color except when it comes to weights. In fact, I just read this quote somewhere and it has stuck with me:

“Every time a woman picks up a pink dumbbell, someone kicks a puppy.”

Bottom line: Resistance training is an important part of every athletes program, no matter what the sport. Step away from the pink dumbbells and lift some real iron.

2. Camel toe is not sexy. Seriously girls…if you’re going to wear spandex check yourself before you leave the house. Enough said.

3. You cannot out train a bad diet. If you want to look good, and perform well, you need to use food as fuel. If you continuously put junk in your trunk it will turn into junk in your trunk no matter how hard you train.

4. If you’re not getting results it’s your fault. Here’s the secret to success: Proper nutrition+resistance training+ cardio+rest and recovery+ social support. If one of these areas in your training program is weak then you need to fix it. Don’t know how? We can help you. That’s what we do.

Can you tell which MP4 team member has PMS? ;-)

Enough about me…what do you think every female athlete should know?
